1. Nature of the Service
Experimental FoodLab is a social food experimentation platform where users share cooking experiments, creative recipes, interesting failures and kitchen discoveries. The content provided:
- Is NOT professional nutrition or dietary advice
- Is NOT a substitute for medical, psychological or psychiatric diagnosis or treatment
- Is NOT a professionally validated recipe collection — recipes are hobbyist and creative in nature
- Tags like “Healthy hack” are user-supplied subjective categorizations, not health claims
- Is NOT legal, financial, or professional advice
2. Food Safety and Allergen Warning
Important: Recipes on this platform are uploaded by users and have not undergone professional food safety inspection. Before trying any recipe:
- Allergens: Recipe authors are not required to provide allergen information. You are solely responsible for your own food allergies
- Cooking safety: Cooking temperatures, times, and food storage conditions are the recipe author's responsibility and have not been verified
- Raw ingredients: Recipes containing raw meat, eggs, or fish may carry foodborne illness risks
- For children: Extra care should be taken when preparing food for users under 18
In case of foodborne illness, allergic reaction, or any damage caused by a recipe, Experimental FoodLab and its operator cannot be held liable. By using this site you acknowledge and accept these risks.
3. AI-Generated Content
The Service offers optional AI image generation via the Google Gemini model. This output is probabilistic:
- The same prompt may produce different outputs at different times
- Generated images are artistic interpretations and may not represent real food
- Generated images may contain logical errors or unexpected elements
We provide no warranty regarding accuracy, fitness for purpose, or quality of AI-generated output.
4. Age Requirement
The Service is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. Minors require explicit consent from a legal guardian; since we do not have a mechanism to verify such consent, minors should not use the Service.
5. Disclaimer of Liability
The site operator, Valeri Hemsi, is not liable for decisions made or not made based on content from the Service, or for any material, emotional, health, or relationship consequences arising from such decisions. Interpretation of content is the user's sole responsibility.
We are also not liable for outages, delays, or data loss caused by our servers, network, or third-party services (Supabase, Google, Vercel).
6. User-Generated Content (UGC) Rules
All content uploaded by users (experiments, comments, messages, images) is the responsibility of the uploading user.
The following content is prohibited:
- Copyright-infringing material (others' photos, recipes, etc.)
- Insult, harassment, discrimination, hate speech
- Sexual content or content that sexualizes minors
- Violence or self-harm encouragement
- False health claims (e.g., “this recipe cures cancer”)
- Spam, commercial advertising, scams
- Impersonation of others
- Recipes containing illegal substances
Experimental FoodLab is not obligated to pre-review content but reserves the right to:
- Remove violating content
- Terminate accounts that violate rules without notice
- Cooperate with authorities for content constituting a crime
Users grant Experimental FoodLab a license to display, process, and distribute their uploaded content as necessary to provide the Service. Users retain copyright over their original content.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service's visual identity, composition, and technical architecture belong to the operator. Content uploaded by users belongs to those users, but users grant the Service the right to process and display that content to operate the platform.
8. Abuse
The following behaviors are prohibited:
- Using another person's account without authorization
- Bot, automated tool or bulk-request usage
- Attempting to reverse engineer the Service
- Manipulating or harassing other users
- Abusing the AI feature or infrastructure
9. Account Termination
Experimental FoodLab reserves the right to terminate without noticeany account that violates these terms or community rules. Terminated accounts' UGC will be removed.
You may also delete your own account at any time from /hesabim.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes shall be subject to the courts of İstanbul.
11. Changes
These terms may be updated; the current version is always available on this page.
